I must warn anyone who wants to use step-down battery adapters such as Makita, DEWALT and the like to power the PDR Light with a voltage source greater than 12 volts!

Some except USB outputs have a plug output with a voltage of 12 volts!
Not all converters have enough power to be used to power large PDR Lights. The chip overheats and can short-circuit and give out full voltage, for example 18-21V to LEDs strips that is rated for 12 volts. As a result, the Light burns out.
There are known cases of using the converter DEWALT 18-21V to 12V, which led to the failure of the PDR lamp. See photo! 
We strongly discourage the use of such converters without proper verification!
We also warn that the electronic circuit of the dimmer is designed for a certain overvoltage threshold.
Don't even think about using a power source over 12.5 volts.
